We're in a New Roc State of Mind

Beckett made a trip north for a family wedding, and met Linnea and us in New Rochelle for dogs (and burgers), followed by an intense match of glow-in-the-dark mini golf.


As if visitors from Atlanta weren't up to par (ha, ha!), Niffer came all the way from the Port Authority Bus Terminal (well, actually from the UK by way of New Hampshire) to see us. We had a wonderful evening of sushi...


...and a great morning at the garden.

Sea and Be Seen

Liam and Jack's mommy and daddy were kind enough to invite us on one of the hottest days in July to the Jersey Shore. Once I learned that we weren't actually auditioning for MTV, I figured we should take a look at what was around.


In preparation for our dip in the ocean, I showed Daya how to catch a bubble...


...while I just laid back and relaxed. This "shore" is the life, eh, Jack?


Like any good reality TV show, we ended the day with an all out dance party.

Easy As One, Tooth, Three

Liana, I am so proud of how brave you were today at your first dental check-up. You let them count your teeth, brush your teeth, and "paint vitamins" on them - all without a single tear or scream. In exchange for your fortitude, we both got toothbrushes and toys (and they didn't even ask to see my seven chompers). Seems like a good deal to me.

My Country Sis of Thee...

To celebrate America's birthday, we headed to Mahopac to be with Mema and Grandpa. It had been a few years since Mema had been to the playground, but she got the swing of it pretty quickly.


Since she got the chance to do kid stuff, when we got home, I watered the flowers like a grown up...


...and then took the whole family for a boat ride.


I was delighted to have you as my first mate. Yes, but not as glad as daddy is that you haven't chosen any other mates yet. Ok, now let's not go overboard.


It was fun to have breakfast with Mikaela and her mommy and daddy. A highlight was building cream and syrup towers.


But that couldn't compare with our visit to Animal Kingdom where we fed turtles and fish...


...and watched others feed turtles and fish.


We saw lots and lots of bunnies and hamsters and ferrets and birds and reptiles. It's definitely worth a visit if you're ever on I-84 near Brewster, NY.


On the fourth we headed to the dock for the sunset and fireworks. Glad I got a good seat.
