We're in a New Roc State of Mind

Beckett made a trip north for a family wedding, and met Linnea and us in New Rochelle for dogs (and burgers), followed by an intense match of glow-in-the-dark mini golf.


As if visitors from Atlanta weren't up to par (ha, ha!), Niffer came all the way from the Port Authority Bus Terminal (well, actually from the UK by way of New Hampshire) to see us. We had a wonderful evening of sushi...


...and a great morning at the garden.

Sea and Be Seen

Liam and Jack's mommy and daddy were kind enough to invite us on one of the hottest days in July to the Jersey Shore. Once I learned that we weren't actually auditioning for MTV, I figured we should take a look at what was around.


In preparation for our dip in the ocean, I showed Daya how to catch a bubble...


...while I just laid back and relaxed. This "shore" is the life, eh, Jack?


Like any good reality TV show, we ended the day with an all out dance party.

Easy As One, Tooth, Three

Liana, I am so proud of how brave you were today at your first dental check-up. You let them count your teeth, brush your teeth, and "paint vitamins" on them - all without a single tear or scream. In exchange for your fortitude, we both got toothbrushes and toys (and they didn't even ask to see my seven chompers). Seems like a good deal to me.

My Country Sis of Thee...

To celebrate America's birthday, we headed to Mahopac to be with Mema and Grandpa. It had been a few years since Mema had been to the playground, but she got the swing of it pretty quickly.


Since she got the chance to do kid stuff, when we got home, I watered the flowers like a grown up...


...and then took the whole family for a boat ride.


I was delighted to have you as my first mate. Yes, but not as glad as daddy is that you haven't chosen any other mates yet. Ok, now let's not go overboard.


It was fun to have breakfast with Mikaela and her mommy and daddy. A highlight was building cream and syrup towers.


But that couldn't compare with our visit to Animal Kingdom where we fed turtles and fish...


...and watched others feed turtles and fish.


We saw lots and lots of bunnies and hamsters and ferrets and birds and reptiles. It's definitely worth a visit if you're ever on I-84 near Brewster, NY.


On the fourth we headed to the dock for the sunset and fireworks. Glad I got a good seat.

We're Gonna Party Like It's Your Birthday

June has been a great month of celebrations. First, I was heels-over-head at Leo's awesome train party.


Good thing your friends are such swingers!

Then I flipped for Lilly's treasure hunt party!


You and Daya had to hustle to keep on pace for all of the fun.


We also had two family parties: Daisy's princess party called for some dress-up...


..and Charlotte's 10th birthday was a hug-fest.

We're in a Newport State of Mind

We're off to a long weekend in Newport, and I'm breaking in my new car seat. I hope it can handle a lot of napping.


Filling up the car sure is a gas! Good thing we girls are ultra-premium.


Apparently, the city was ready for us.


We made sure to check out the flower show, where my favorite exhibit was both flora and fauna.


BoPa tried to teach me a thing or two...


...but I was much more excited to learn how to eat an ice cream cone. Yes, your first ever.

When not building ice cream cones, I was working on sandcastles.


Fortunately, BoMa and BoPa took us to get rinsed off in the ocean.


Such an active weekend. Yes, my car seat works just fine, thanks.

Happy Daddies' Day

We love our daddy so much, that we don't think just one day per year is quite enough to celebrate him adequately. That said, Hallmark told us that today is it, so we obliged by trying to be just like him.

I got behind the wheel...

But unfortunately no one is quite as zippy as our daddy. We love you!!!

Ari-en't We Adorable?

The last time we saw Ari and his parents, it was to celebrate the two of you turning five (someone said something about addition-al cake, but I didn't get such a big piece).


This time we went to his house and got to play with Arielle as well. Hey, that rhymes. Yes, well, getting all of us to sit together in Ari's chair for a photo wasn't quite so poetic.


Yes, well, if you big kids would just sit down for a second...


...so we had to settle for you lying down since that's the only way you'd cooperate.


Yes, I'm sure you will, especially if lying down comes with kisses.

Top This, Sister!

We had so much fun with Lilly at the museum (yes, we were like two pearls in an oyster) that we worked up quite an appetite.


I loved making my own pizza...with sauce, and cheese, and..


...sisterly love.


The kitchen added some broccoli and my masterpiece was complete.

Free Park-ing

Summer in the City means lots of time hanging out (sometimes upside down) in the park.


We're quite a pair of swinging sisters.


And we love a camel ride, now and again.


But nothing beats bubbles.


Except perhaps your first solo slide. Do I really seem that happy? No, but you'll get the swing, I mean the slide, of it.
