Newport

Not only was the fair better than fair, but the rest of our stay in Newport was great, including our annual family tree photo.


We attended a great concert on First Beach with this guy, who wore a different hat for each song.  Daddy liked his Red Sox hat the best, though.  And you girls liked sitting and eating Del's on the beach.

I reunited with my new girlfriend Rozzie, who came to visit from Cambridge (our fair city), MA.

And I worked on my aquatic entry.

After all of that action, it was time to take a shower (and dry off in a towel from when daddy was a boy!)...

...and head for bed (though elegantly dressed).

Fortunately, I sleep well sitting up, too!

These little piggies--apparently on the way back from market--went to the fair.   (Amazingly, they are older than me, even though they are so much smaller and pinker!)

I liked a lot of things at this fair, but the best was this GIANT pickle.  


Now, Daria, don't fill up on pickle.  There's lots of this yummy porridge to eat!


Yes, if the wild dogs don't eat it first!


It's nice to see there are still some Yankees fans in New England.  Maybe I'll come back here more often!

Remembering Nana

Nana died today.  Fortunately, I got to meet her yesterday when mommy and daddy took me to Florida for a very special visit.  It was my first airplane trip and I think they knew it was something special since I got priority boarding.


She gave me a smile that will last a lifetime.

I'll always remember some advice she gave us all when I was about your age, JJ.


We will all miss you, Nana!

How Amusing!

We haven't seen our cousins Leah and Zachary in years, but this week they came to visit us from Maryland and while I was at school, you were able to hit the "rapids" at Victorian Gardens.   

Afterwards, we met Daisy for Carmine's and a photo.  (Even though it's family style, I sat out both the meal and the photo.)

Can't wait until we can see these cousins again!!

New-Sport, Road Island

Mommy and daddy said we were taking a road trip to see BoMa and BoPa.  They were sleepy, so I offered to drive.


Little did you know you'd need your energy for stomping (divots, that is)...


...and for climbing trees!


Fortunately, there was plenty of time for lounging and snuggling.


And for baseball...batter up!

Our Daddy Can Rest on His Florals

In honor of Father's Day, I wore my "My Dad Rocks" onesie, which made me irresistible to the ladies.


You're right, bro, it is hard for us to stay away from our newest bud.


To celebrate daddy, we took a trip to the Botanical Garden, where I knew we should stop to smell the roses.


We girls also took time to visit the Monet exhibit.  We crossed that bridge when we came to it...


...and were sure to plant our tushes on our lily pads for a photo.


The thought of one day becoming a daddy was so exhausting that I took my first nap in my crib!  Happy Daddy's Day!!  We love you!!

True Bris

This morning, mommy said that we were going over to Mema's for bagels and lox.  I don't think she mentioned that I was going to be the star of the show.  Things started out pretty well.  Reverend Sherman said that this could go on my Facebook page.  Doesn't he know that I use Blogger, not Facebook?


When my sisters held me on the Chair of Elijah, I knew something was up.  There's no whitefish here.

But BoPa's lap was really comfortable, and the whole thing was over before I knew it...

...and I was on PopPop's lap in no time.  He and I were both thinking about breakfast.


Then we said motzi over a challah that was bigger than the three of us put together.  Jonas was wondering what we were going to do with that knife...watch out, challah!


Thanks for hosting us, Mema.  That was a great morning, but I'll never look at sliced bagels the same way again.

Welcome, Baby Jonas!!!

After nearly ten months in the making, I made my grand entry on May 31 at 6:09 am. As you can tell from the photo below, I'm pretty big (8 pounds, 8 ounces and nearly 21 inches), and ready to join the family. As you might not be able to tell from the photo, I speak in italics so as to provide a slightly different (and more masculine) slant on things than either of my sisters.

Jonas, we're so happy to have you here and to be big sisters (again)!!

Big Sisters (Almost) on Hand

All hands on deck.  We're ready for this baby to come out.  We are sure we'll leave an imprint on him or her, so we wanted to start with a lasting impression on mommy's belly!

Princess Daria Turns Drei

On Friday I celebrated my third birthday at school.  Miss Amber made me (and Brianna) the most gorgeous crowns.

    

Mema and mommy came to help supervise the decorate-your-own-cupcakes party. 


Once we finished the party, we had to work off the calories (and the sugar high) by "dancing" on Mema's bed.


Turning three sure is exhausting!


Uncle Spencer, Aunt Julie, Oscar and Daisy got me a baby carrier so I can take Brianna with me...

...hands free!!  You never know when you have to send an urgent text!

On my actual birthday, we celebrated from the early morning (with a candle in my popover),

at midday, with three '3' donuts, 


and at night, with a birthday cake.


Turning 3 is also filling!
