The rain this weekend reflected our sad mood as we said some farewells:
I said goodbye to one of my favorite teachers - Miss Wendy - who is heading back to school herself. Not sure why she couldn't just stay and take classes with the Penguins.

In anticipation of daddy going back to work after paternity leave, I strummed our blues away on the guitar.
What's with these goodbyes? I said hello to Hara, Brian, and Brielle...
...and to Thi and Mike who came all the way from Brooklyn to hold me.

You're right. I said 'hello' to my friend Alex who brought his parents over so we could make dinner (and I think they wanted to meet Daria).

Then we fed my baby.
I thought I was your baby?
The highlight of this very rainy weekend was my acquisition of a new princess umbrella. I'm still getting the hang of it.
I'm pretty sure you're going to get wet if you don't turn it over...there you go.

Not sure why you need an umbrella, anyway. I'm pretty accustomed to the moisture, first the amniotic fluid and now the rain - what fun would life be like without it? Well, thanks to my new parapluie and daddy's shoulders, I, too, have a whole new perspective on precipitation: it's not so bad afterall.
