Oh My Cod - They're Married!!

Now that we'd made our way across the Cape, it was time to celebrate Josh and Rachel under their incredible chupah overlooking the sea. Our first Jewfish wedding!!


While it looked like rain all day, the Rays came out just in time for the ceremony!


Aren't we a magnificent Group(er)?


It was warm during the ceremony, so we made our way to the Bar(fish) for some cool lemonade.


"Aunt" Bethie is one of mommy's dear college friends. It was a real Trout to spend some time with her, since she lives in Michigan and doesn't make it east very often.


Nora and her mommy were quite the Bonnetmouths, not sure which were prettier: their chapeaux or their smiles.


We were not the youngest women at the wedding. Our pajama babies (as well as Nora's baby sister, Mary), were the Tadpoles.


While we think of daddy as our Best Man every day, Josh actually borrowed him in that capacity for his wedding. He gave a fantastic toast and was a bit of a Clown(fish).


In exchange, Josh got daddy these fantastic kicks, which may be the Sole reason he agreed to give the toast.


Rachel is so much fun and we are delighted that Josh decided to Snapper up before she got away!


After an evening of dancing with great friends and family, we were Perch-ed for a good night's rest.

Wedding Es-Cape

It's Tru(ro)! This weekend we drove up to Brewster, MA, to celebrate the nuptials of "Uncle" Josh and soon-to-be-"Aunt" Rachel. This was my first wedding, so I had to get my hair done...


The rehearsal dinner was a lobster bake (which we, of course, don't eat) but that didn't stop me from putting on the bib for chicken, pasta, and Mashpee dinner. I feel like I was Bourne for this meal.


We didn't eat the Sandwich, but I wore my bib for the best part: ice cream bar. Sis, get that spoon out of Yar mouth.


We wanted to wish them Well(fleet) so we signed our best wishes on the happy couple's chupah. I'm sure they will Chat(ham) about this tomorrow at the ceremony.


Har! Which member of the family looks the cutest here?

Birds of a Feather Celebrate Together

Today was a very special day because we got to celebrate our favorite guy - DADDY!! How better to celebrate our patriarchs than to visit the Connecticut zoo, where we met BoMa and BoPa (who drove down to meet us, it isn't what you think). One of the highlights was seeing the beautiful peacocks.


Yes, that was almost as exciting as BEING the beautiful peacocks.

We also got to double-celebrate BoPa. He was the man of honor for Father's Day and his and BoMa's 45th Anniversary. How silly!!

Four Little Piggies

Tonight two big cousins came to our house for a sleepover. Daisy and I went to "mark it" making BoMa and BoPa an anniversary card.


While I stayed home by going to bed pretty early. We had even more fun than last time, though nobody had roast beef, everyone had none. Oscar's favorite part of the evening was the Wii, Wii, Wii...


...no one wanted them to go home.

George-sey Sure!

It wasn't exactly the "Jersey Shore," but on Saturday night, we went through the tunnel to see Benjamin and Ethan "the Situation" in their new digs in New Jersey. We were the first people they used their oven for, and their parents are very proud of the
cauliflower casserole.


On Sunday, we hit the park early. Since it had rained, we had to do some cleaning first.


Next I rode my new scooter.


Then we took the camel for a ride. Giddy-up!


Finally I tried to ride this pole, but I needed Daria to keep me safe.


After rest, we met Brielle and (another) Ethan at CMOM for the new Curious George exhibit. George doesn't look any different than the last time I saw him.


One more clean-up before we went home.

Wild Animals

To celebrate the end of the school year, we went with some of my friends to Riverside Park for a picnic. Before you knew it we were rolling around in the grass and mud and laughing our tushies off.


I was having a good time, too, but I wasn't willing to get grass-stains on my tushie!


Fortunately, Max invited me to a party to meet some real wild animals. I started by finally getting to shake hands with a skink, an animal I thought was imaginary when I first read about in one of my favorite books. I shared many fascinating facts with my little sister after the party. The first was that skinks' tongues are purple.


I also got to pet a giant tortoise. Fascinating fact: these animals move surprisingly fast considering that's not how they beat the speedy hare in the famous fable.


I'm not in this video, but it was too cool not to share. Fascinating fact: I jump if you spray my tushie too.


But maybe the best part was riding the bus home with Daya (which took 30 minutes to come, and we were running around like animals). Fascinating fact: Don't forget, sis, that your middle name means "ibex."

Higher Profile

In keeping with our tradition of updating our profile semi-annually, the time has come to retire the fall shot of us in our new shades (hopefully distracting you from my crazy hairdo!). But for posterity...


And our profile description: Now that we've spent nearly two years outshining one another, it's hard to say which of us is more of a superstar. Big sister, Liana, has spent nearly four years acquiring wit and wisdom, while little sis, Daria, has established a BOLDER presence in less than two. Law and Order: Newport

While in Newport, we made sure to go to court.

We celebrated my sister's birthday in Two-port. The festivities began with chocolate chip "pair-cakes" for breakfast.

BoMa and BoPa bought her a two-ter!

After dinner, we celebrated with deux-ssert.

Who's Your Birth-daddy?

In anticipation of daddy's birthday, mommy invited a few friends and family over for a formal affair.

While you can dress him up, daddy is really quite a kid at heart. I thought you were going to say he was just a big clown. Don't let that hat fool you, he's still learning the ropes, I mean the balloons...HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY. We love you!!

Quadcycle, Now That I'm Four

For my birthday, Mema took me shopping for my first bicycle. I'm a bit confused since I thought bikes were supposed to have two wheels and somehow we picked out one that has four. Two of them are evidently for "training" though I like to think that since Daria now has my tricycle, I got a quadcycle since I'm bigger. We're both learning to ride our new wheels!

Too Sick to Fish??

Daddy was off today from work and school said I was too sick to come in (what a coinkidink!) so we spent a day together. Lunch at the diner...


...followed by a fishing trip at CMOM (especially ironic since my class, which wouldn't permit me to play today, is the Fishies).


Wow - I feel better already!

Mother of a Day

Today was both mommy's birthday and Mother's Day, so we gathered our favorite materfamilias and went to brunch, then the park. I think it was the kids who had the most fun.


I, for one, was jumping (sort of) for joy.


I was split between whether I enjoyed our morning events or dinner with my mommy and her mommy at the new Tamarind Tribeca.


It's a good thing we were there, or who would have helped mommy blow out and lick her candles?

Party Like it's 2009

We celebrated my second birthday by getting a few friends together to sing, dance, and eat cake. Even mommy got into the act.


It's clear where she got her axe skills from.
