Big Sisters (Almost) on Hand

All hands on deck.  We're ready for this baby to come out.  We are sure we'll leave an imprint on him or her, so we wanted to start with a lasting impression on mommy's belly!

Princess Daria Turns Drei

On Friday I celebrated my third birthday at school.  Miss Amber made me (and Brianna) the most gorgeous crowns.

    

Mema and mommy came to help supervise the decorate-your-own-cupcakes party. 


Once we finished the party, we had to work off the calories (and the sugar high) by "dancing" on Mema's bed.


Turning three sure is exhausting!


Uncle Spencer, Aunt Julie, Oscar and Daisy got me a baby carrier so I can take Brianna with me...

...hands free!!  You never know when you have to send an urgent text!

On my actual birthday, we celebrated from the early morning (with a candle in my popover),

at midday, with three '3' donuts, 


and at night, with a birthday cake.


Turning 3 is also filling!

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

After a long day of school and work, we went out to celebrate daddy's birthday at one of his favorite UWS restaurants.  I made him a crown that earned him lots of "Happy Birthday" wishes (and a bit of embarrassment) from total strangers.  The only thing he likes better than a good pistou is kisses from his girls...




...and ice cream cake from Emack and Bolio's!


BoMa and BoPa helped us finish the cake.

Birthday Buddies

In addition to our own birthdays, spring weekends are when many of our friends celebrate theirs as well.  First there was Isla who had a super-fun gym party...

...and then Lilly celebrated with a ballerina birthday.

Did we mention we had tutu much fun???

And at Brielle's dance party we cut a rug (with our balloon swords).

But nothing compared with the cake-eating.  Happy delicious birthdays, friends!!

Keep on Truckin'

We went to the annual "Touch-a-Truck Festival," but this is as close as we got to any of the trucks.

Instead, I spent most of the time trying to touch the roof of the bouncy castle.

Then, in the afternoon, we took our car and scooter and bike to Leo's new home, where we checked out a building he built inside.

Cheers to You, Mommy!

Tonight we went out on the town (or at least out on the Market) to celebrate mommy's birthday.


We toasted her with delicious mock-tails.

Baby, We Are Ultra-Excited to Meet You!

Today we went with mommy to celebrate her birthday with a 36-week ultrasound.  We wanted to get a first-hand (and first foot) glimpse at the baby in her belly.


The picture on the computer screen didn't look much like a baby, but we did notice an ear and a foot that looked like ours do.


Hopefully the baby will pop out of mommy's tummy soon so we can see it for real.  We can hardly wait!

Our Agri-gated Birthday Celebration

Today we celebrated our collective eighth birthday by taking a few friends to a farm-themed show way off-Broadway.  It was a small theater, but fortunately (contrary to this pre-show photo) it was large enough that we each got our own seat.


The show was set on a farm, so we helped mommy bake a mud pie.  No, it wasn't a pie - it didn't even have a graham quacker crust.  Oh, right, it was a birthday cake, featuring a pond, a pig sty and lots of animals.


Blowing out the candles together was so much fun.  Did you make a wish?


Yes, I wished I could star in the show, and just a little while later, our friends and I got on stage and played trees in the forest.


I think the actors were pretty impressed by your performance, which is why they asked to pose for this photo with you at the end of it.

Jonah's Bris

Congratulations to Ari on his little brother, Jonah.  We had the pleasure of attending the bris, performed by our buddy with the squeaky nose and the sure hand, Cantor Sherman.  I still remember going to Ari's bris.


Yay, mitzvot!!

Fire Truck Party

Only one person I know loves fire trucks more than I do. Fortunately, he invited me to his awesome fire truck party!

He even let me drive!

The Fluoride's So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades

Holy Molar-y!  I had my first trip to the dentist today.  I've been to like ca-nine appointments already.

Ladies Who Brunch

Cousin Brielle invited us over for brunch in celebration of the end of Passover (and tax day).  We enjoyed french toast, strawberries and bagels at a private princess table, while the grown-ups ate someplace else.

Then as a temporary way to remember the day, we shared ONE tat-TWO (THREE ways).

A Very Chocolate Fifth Birthday

In honor of my birthday and despite the fact that it was Pesach, we planned two chocolate celebrations.  Mommy, daddy and I were excited to help you celebrate at school.

My Giraffe friends and teachers enjoyed fruit and marshmallows...

...CHOCOLATE "FUN"-DUE!!

I brought them party hats and they made me a beautiful crown.  

And I made you an equally beautiful card!!

Then, for dinner, family came over to help me celebrate with a flourless (and fortunately also matzo meal-less) cake.  It was basically a candy bar.
