How Amusing!

We haven't seen our cousins Leah and Zachary in years, but this week they came to visit us from Maryland and while I was at school, you were able to hit the "rapids" at Victorian Gardens.   

Afterwards, we met Daisy for Carmine's and a photo.  (Even though it's family style, I sat out both the meal and the photo.)

Can't wait until we can see these cousins again!!

Rivalry, What Rivalry?

Mommy is a Yankees fan and daddy roots for the Red Sox. You wouldn't know it this week, when Dr. Y added a Bomber logo to my diaper at my one-month visit (where I weighed in at 11 pounds, 2 ounces and was 23 inches long).

We went to Scarsdale to celebrate Daisy turning six!

I think daddy had too many ice cream sandwiches because...

...he watched the Yanks-Sox game with me dressed in pinstripes.


Nothing like some good, clean family fun.


On Sunday we took the ferry to Staten Island and on the way, we saw Lady Liberty.


Then we walked (and rode) to the stadium with Suzy, Dan, Ari and Jonah...


...where we all root-root-rooted for the Yankees (the Staten Island farm team, that is).

And I ran the bases, including high-fiving the handsome players on the third base line.

These blue boxes make me tired.  I think it's probably because I know how hard I'll need to work to ensure all the women in my life get ample supplies of them.  Don't worry, JJ, Liana and I already got a few (check out #3).

Mahopac-tion

We spent July 4th weekend in Mahopac, which allowed us to show off our brother to lots of people including cousin Daisy...

...and Grandma's neighbor Ellen, who supervised while we girls used our noodles.


Still, nothing beats holding Jonas ourselves.


You're not boring, I just get tired from being the center of attention.

Shower-and-Tell

This morning mommy took me for my inaugural trip to her office for a baby shower lunch.  I remember my first visit.  And I remember mine.

I got held by so many lovely people, including "Auntie" Kay, who didn't seem to want to give me back and has twin boys so holding one of me was easy, ...

...Sue, who also didn't seem to want to give me back, ...


...Kathleen, who also has twin boys (weird, right?), ...


...Sandy, who has quite a lot of experience as a mom and grandma, ...


...Nancy, whom I understand got nothing but tears from you, Liana, ...


...Herb, who has a much bigger smile for the camera than I do, ...


...and Kathy, who came all the way from Reston to meet me!!  My mommy has such lovely colleagues. I am so happy to be a part of their "family."

A.G.reat Kitchen

Uncle Spencer opened a new restaurant this week, A.G. Kitchen, and I got to participate in "Friends and Family" night while my sisters stayed home with a babysitter.  I hope all of you in the neighborhood will try it. They have fabulous burgers (or so I hear).

We Be Jammie-ing

It's bad enough that daddy and I are out-numbered by the ladies in pink in our family.  To make matters worse, they have started to wear matching PJs.  First, it was Liana, back in 2010...


...and now, Daria is getting in on the act.  I've heard of footsie jammies, but these appear to be gigglie ones.

This Little Piggy Had Tails...

After 37 months of trying, I was finally able to put my hair into pigtails and I was so proud.



Of course, there's no reason this should be so serious...pigtails look cute with my silly face too!

New-Sport, Road Island

Mommy and daddy said we were taking a road trip to see BoMa and BoPa.  They were sleepy, so I offered to drive.


Little did you know you'd need your energy for stomping (divots, that is)...


...and for climbing trees!


Fortunately, there was plenty of time for lounging and snuggling.


And for baseball...batter up!

Stomp and Circumstance

While mommy and daddy thought I could have graduated in four years, it took me five to receive my first diploma.

I have made so many friends whom I will miss when I go to kindergarten in the fall.


Fortunately your little sister (and brother) will still be at school for you to visit.  We are so proud of you, Liana!

Have we Met?

I'm lucky that daddy took off two weeks to spend time getting to know me.  One of the first things we did was to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's roof deck to see a very cool (and high) exhibit.  

But how can daddy get to know me when all he sees is my mirror-image?

A Head Above the Rest

While I'm not yet three weeks old, I'm told I have the head control of a three MONTH old. I've also rolled over a bunch of times, but not for the camera because I'm shy...

Bathing Brute-y

Today I took my very first bath, now that I've fully recovered from my bris and umbilical cord-ectomy and BOY did I love it! 

I can't decide whether I preferred the soapy wet part or the cuddly towel in daddy's arms part.  Fortunately my sisters tell me they are often a package deal, which is great by me!

Open Sesame

Mommy and daddy took the three of us for a special day trip to Sesame Place.  I had no idea that Snuffy lived in Pennsylvania.



Fortunately, we were both tall enough to go on lots of rides, though Big Bird is still bigger.

I couldn't go on any rides, but I did attend this live version of "Elmo's World."  I'm too young to have seen the TV version, but I do like that Elmo always stops to ask a baby!

We liked the teacups the best, even though there wasn't anything to drink.

It was good that we remembered our bathing suits since the waterworks were quite impressive.

I guess it was a good day, since we all fell asleep before we left the parking lot (even me--look in the mirror!).
