This Little Piggy Had Tails...

After 37 months of trying, I was finally able to put my hair into pigtails and I was so proud.



Of course, there's no reason this should be so serious...pigtails look cute with my silly face too!

New-Sport, Road Island

Mommy and daddy said we were taking a road trip to see BoMa and BoPa.  They were sleepy, so I offered to drive.


Little did you know you'd need your energy for stomping (divots, that is)...


...and for climbing trees!


Fortunately, there was plenty of time for lounging and snuggling.


And for baseball...batter up!

Stomp and Circumstance

While mommy and daddy thought I could have graduated in four years, it took me five to receive my first diploma.

I have made so many friends whom I will miss when I go to kindergarten in the fall.


Fortunately your little sister (and brother) will still be at school for you to visit.  We are so proud of you, Liana!

Have we Met?

I'm lucky that daddy took off two weeks to spend time getting to know me.  One of the first things we did was to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art's roof deck to see a very cool (and high) exhibit.  

But how can daddy get to know me when all he sees is my mirror-image?

I have a feeling we're going to have a lot of fun together!

A Head Above the Rest

While I'm not yet three weeks old, I'm told I have the head control of a three MONTH old. I've also rolled over a bunch of times, but not for the camera because I'm shy...

Bathing Brute-y

Today I took my very first bath, now that I've fully recovered from my bris and umbilical cord-ectomy and BOY did I love it! 

I can't decide whether I preferred the soapy wet part or the cuddly towel in daddy's arms part.  Fortunately my sisters tell me they are often a package deal, which is great by me!

Open Sesame

Mommy and daddy took the three of us for a special day trip to Sesame Place.  I had no idea that Snuffy lived in Pennsylvania.



Fortunately, we were both tall enough to go on lots of rides, though Big Bird is still bigger.

I couldn't go on any rides, but I did attend this live version of "Elmo's World."  I'm too young to have seen the TV version, but I do like that Elmo always stops to ask a baby!

We liked the teacups the best, even though there wasn't anything to drink.

It was good that we remembered our bathing suits since the waterworks were quite impressive.

I guess it was a good day, since we all fell asleep before we left the parking lot (even me--look in the mirror!).

Our Daddy Can Rest on His Florals

In honor of Father's Day, I wore my "My Dad Rocks" onesie, which made me irresistible to the ladies.


You're right, bro, it is hard for us to stay away from our newest bud.


To celebrate daddy, we took a trip to the Botanical Garden, where I knew we should stop to smell the roses.


We girls also took time to visit the Monet exhibit.  We crossed that bridge when we came to it...


...and were sure to plant our tushes on our lily pads for a photo.


The thought of one day becoming a daddy was so exhausting that I took my first nap in my crib!  Happy Daddy's Day!!  We love you!!

A Show By Any Other Name Wouldn't Smell So Sweet

You may be familiar with Blue Man Group, but today Linnea and "Uncle" Jamie took daddy and us girls to the antithetical production: Pink Girl Group aka Pinkalicious. It was fuschia-tastic!!
 

Unfortunately daddy didn't get the memo about what color shirt to wear.  Yes, he was an outcast at the "Off-Off-Boyway" production.


The show was a super-fun way to celebrate our birthdays and actually meeting Pinkalicious made us blush!  Thanks again Linnea and Felix!!

Dudes and Chicks

We have spent a lot of time meeting my sisters' friends.  First, we went to Leo's Luau birthday party in Scarsdale, where everyone else got to eat palm tree cake, including Leo's little brother Alex.

Then Dan and Suzy brought over their dudes for dinner.  I have a feeling that baby Jonah and I are going to share a lot more than the first four letters of our name...

Brielle came for dinner, adding some X chromosomes to the mix.

But I was waiting to see these chicks! 

True Bris

This morning, mommy said that we were going over to Mema's for bagels and lox.  I don't think she mentioned that I was going to be the star of the show.  Things started out pretty well.  Reverend Sherman said that this could go on my Facebook page.  Doesn't he know that I use Blogger, not Facebook?


When my sisters held me on the Chair of Elijah, I knew something was up.  There's no whitefish here.

But BoPa's lap was really comfortable, and the whole thing was over before I knew it...

...and I was on PopPop's lap in no time.  He and I were both thinking about breakfast.


Then we said motzi over a challah that was bigger than the three of us put together.  Jonas was wondering what we were going to do with that knife...watch out, challah!


Thanks for hosting us, Mema.  That was a great morning, but I'll never look at sliced bagels the same way again.

Today I visited Dr. Yaker who shared some war stories with me about having a big sister.  He also weighed and measured me, poked and prodded, and decided that I was so perfect that I didn't need to come back until I was a month old.  Take that, big sisters!

Wild First Weekend

This weekend all of our cousins came to welcome baby Jonas.



I even spent part of each day awake to ensure I could look them in the eye.


Then our neighbors Charlotte and Lindsay (and their mommy and daddy) invited us to poolside brunch.


I slept through most of the eating and the swimming, which was just as well since I don't eat bagels or quiche and I haven't learned to swim outside the womb.


Linnea brought her baby brother over to meet my baby brother.  We got to hold J.J. together which was SO much fun.

Now that Jonas has arrived, it is time to update our profile to include him, but for posterity:
